The Santa Fe Public Library provides public access to computers free of charge. Computer users don't need a library card, but signing up with the Reference Desk staff is required. Computers can be reserved for 30-minute or 60-minute slots. Main and Southside Libraries also have a 15-minute computer. Reservations may be phoned in for same-day use or on a walk-in basis, first come first served.

Library computers have internet access, word processing and spreadsheet programs. PCs can accept USB drives and CD-ROMs. Some PCs have CD burning capabilites and can accept 3.5" floppy discs.The City of Santa Fe prohibits the installation of software or hardware on its computers.

All Library computers are networked to a printer. Printing is 10 cents per page. Color printing is not available.

Children's Room computers are for use by children 12 and younger only.

The Library has a fax machine, but not a scanner. Library staff can provide limited, short-term technical assistance as needed. However, due to time constraints and technical expertise, it may not be possible to answer all questions.
