Join us for a screening of several documentary shorts on the Japanese-American internee experience. Screening will be: Moments in Time: Remembering the Santa Fe Japanese Internment Camp (10 min), The Art of Gaman (20 min., created in support of the Smithsonian Institution exhibit), and oral histories collected by the “Confinement in the Land of Enchantment” project team (15 min.). This program will be followed by a book discussion of the novel When the Emperor was Divine by Julie Otsuka.
