Peanut Butter Caper Campaign

Posted on

The Peanut Butter Caper is a campaign to gather 15 or 18-oz. jars of peanut butter donated by individuals and employee and community groups, businesses, schools, faith groups, civic and fraternal organizations to add important nutritional value to the bags of groceries that we distribute each Thursday morning from the loading dock of our drive-thru food pantry.  When we collect 900 jars, we replace one of the canned vegetables with a jar of this protein-rich item.

Peanut Butter is nutritious, versatile, and has a long shelf life—perfect for our neighbors who are food insecure. If at all possible, try to buy “natural peanut butter” (no ingredients besides peanuts and salt).

Please bring your jars of peanut butter between Monday, November 2 and Monday November 9, to any library location.
