Serious Computer Programming Mini-Course

Every other Thursday evening from 6:15 PM to 7:45 PM at the Main Library, Mark Galassi offers Serious Computer Programming 90-minute mini-course for youth. These courses focus on scientific and other areas of computing.

Materials

The courses are based on the Serious Programming: Small Courses book which you can access at: http://markgalassi.bitbucket.io/

Prerequisites

 

  • Students must have taken the 10-hour “Serious Programming” course.
  • Students must have a computer running the GNU/Linux operating system, which will likely be the one we installed in the 10-hour Serious Programming course.
