Paintings by Vincent McGinley

The Main Library Satin – Reichman Art Gallery welcomes you to our first art exhibit of 2022, The Language of Shapes, Paintings by Vincent McgInley.

The show will be on view through the month of January.

Artist’s Bio

Vincent McGinley, born 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Studied briefly at the John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis and the Academy of Art in San Francisco.

Vincent has been painting for over 40 years and has lived in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Portland Oregon, and finally settling in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 2001.

Artist’s Statement

I am largely self taught in painting, although I give credit to my life partner and fellow painter, John Block for his continuing support and encouragement.

With my modern and abstract paintings, I challenge myself to create interplay between colors and shapes in a depth of field. My goal is to always produce a painting which is both pleasing and intriguing to look at.
