November 2019 Art Displays at the Santa Fe Public Library
Stop by and peruse our great art shows that will be on display during the month of November:
Main Library, Satin/Reichman Memorial Art Gallery: Jack Bordnick, “Come and enjoy their stories”, (Mixed-media). “My sculptures incorporate surrealistic, mythological and magical imagery — often with whimsical overtones — aimed at provoking our experiences and self-reflections”.
La Farge Branch Library: Miranda Saint James, “Watercolor Art”.
Southside Branch Library: Richard Balthazar, “YE GODS! Icons of Aztec Deities”, (Vinyl Banners).
Applications to Exhibit Art
Santa Fe Public Library accepts applications from local artists for consideration of art exhibits. All applicants must live in the city or county of Santa Fe, be eligible for a library card, and follow the Information and Exhibit Guidelines and Art Exhibit Policy.
Artists wishing to exhibit their work at the Main Library, 145 Washington Ave., should fill out a Main Library Art Application. Paintings, as well as photographic exhibits, will be considered. The Main Library also has glass cases for displaying three dimensional works. We will no longer be having our longstanding selection meeting on the first Wednesday of each month. Artists interested in displaying their work at the Oliver La Farge Branch Library, 1730 Llano Street, should fill out an Oliver La Farge Branch Art Application and call (505) 955-4862.
Call for art at the Southside Branch! Call either John Pinkston at (505) 955-2824, or Tiana Finney at (505) 955-2823 to show your art at the beautiful Southside Branch Library.
Artists wishing to exhibit their work at the Southside Branch, 6599 Jaguar Drive, should fill out a Southside Branch Art Application. The Southside Branch Art Committee will set a date to review and schedule art displays. For more information, please call (505) 955-2824.
