Interlibrary Loan and Curbside Service
You may pick up interlibrary loan books via our curbside service.
Until the libraries reopen for walk-ins, you may return your interlibrary loan book(s) to the book drop. Please secure the book with rubber bands or in a bag to prevent damage. Should you have a fragile or very large interlibrary loan book to return, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for instructions.
We are accepting new interlibrary loan requests. However, as most libraries are not yet lending books, the service will be slow for quite some time.
Requesting materials, which are not part of the Santa Fe Public Library collection from another library, is called Interlibrary Loan, often referred to as ILL. Before submitting a request for an Interlibrary Loan, please check the Library Catalog to ensure that the library does not already own the item. Santa Fe Public Library cannot obtain materials through Interlibrary Loan that it owns.
To use this service, your Santa Fe Public Library account must be in good standing. A maximum of three Interlibrary Loan requests may be made in one calendar month. Please keep in mind that items may take two to four weeks to arrive.
You will be notified when Interlibrary Loan materials are ready for pick up in the same manner you are with items owned by the Santa Fe Public Library.
Please note that the following materials are not available through Interlibrary Loan:
- Books published within the last six months
- DVDs, VHS, CDs, and other non-print media
