Join us for this new event for 2021, organized by Chainbreaker Collective, Sirius Cycles and Safe Routes to School.
On Saturday, May 22nd, we will be hosting a Bike and Vaccination event at the Southside Library from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. We will be registering kids for Summer Reading and giving out book bags. We will be hosting the Vaccines in the Community Room.
Chainbreaker will have a bike repair clinic for minor adjustments such as flats, brakes, etc run by our latest graduating bike mechanic students. They have gone through our 13 week mechanics course and we are celebrating that this Bike Month! In addition, we will also be hosting a kids bike raffle. We have about 20 kids bikes ranging from 14″-20″ in size. Artist Daisy Quezada will also be providing take home clay kits if people are interested in a conversation through sculpting clay in the time of COVID.
Join Clemente of Sirius Cycles for a family friendly cruise mostly on southside trails. If you’re cargo-curious, Clemente will be showing off the utility of a few of his cargo bikes! The ride will end at the Southside Library where the Freezie Fresh ice cream truck will be waiting. A limited amount of free ice cream will be available to those willing to share their experiences with park access in Santa Fe. Thank you Safe Routes to Parks and the Railyard Park Conservancy!
The ride will meet in the Villa Linda Park parking lot by the Santa Fe Place Mall at 11 a.m. and ride to the Southside Library.
